On April 27, 2024 Prince William County Police Department crash investigators report they obtained arrest warrants for the driver of the truck who was involved in the fatal collision with a motorcycle rider that occurred in the area of Richmond Hwy. and Pine Bluff Dr. in Dumfries (22026) on April 24, 2024.
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) will be forced to suspend some, if not all, of its commuter rail service in Virginia and Washington D.C. after December 31, 2015 if Congress does not act to extend the deadline for implementing Positive Train Control (PTC), according to a news release.

U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) report that Virginia has been awarded nearly $1 million in federal planning grants to strengthen and improve community behavioral health clinics for mental and substance use disorder treatment.

On October 14th at 9:53PM, Prince William County VA Police Department detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in Manassas (20109) earlier that day. In child neglect case, victim was two months old, police report.
