PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
On January 14th at 10:54PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Northton Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, Perok said.

On Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. approximately 1,000 residents attended a town hall meeting that was held at Battlefield High School regarding Dominion Virginia Power's proposed Haymarket substation and 230kv project.
On January 14th at 1:20PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 4200 block of Kenton Cir in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a possible abduction. A witness reported to police that a young girl was seen being forced into the backseat of a gray, 4-door sedan by a black male in front of a residence in the above area.
Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Jan. 13 legislation to restore integrity to the state’s process to deliver projects under the Public Private Transportation Act (PPTA) and improve reliability for transportation funding distributions, according to a news release from the governor's office.
Virginia Department of Transportation is asking drivers to prepare for a day-long storm tomorrow that could make driving hazardous in northern Virginia. Drivers are asked to monitor weather forecasts today, and consider teleworking or delaying travel tomorrow. Drivers are also asked to plan for a longer than normal commute, with snow predicted in the morning and hazardous sleet and freezing rain beginning in the afternoon.
