By working with the Virginia Department of Health Division of Vital Records, DMV began issuing copies of Virginia birth certificates in March 2014. This summer, DMV will offer copies of death, marriage and divorce certificates.“More than 72,000 customers requested a copy of a birth certificate at DMV last year," according to a statement by DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb.

Murder #2 of 2015: Prince William County police charge victim’s stepson

On January 14th at 10:54PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Northton Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, Perok said.

A witness reported to police that a young girl was seen being forced into the backseat of a gray, 4-door sedan by a black male in front of a residence in the above area.
