The annual Prince William All-County Elementary Chorus of approximately 175 singers will take the stage on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Charles J. Colgan, Sr. High School. This year the chorus will perform under the direction of Marsteller Middle School Choir Director Philip Keirstead.

Freedom High School "Soul Squad" Marching Eagle Band participated in the Virginia Governor's Inaugural Parade in Richmond on Saturday, Jan. 13. Only four bands across the commonwealth were selected this year, and Freedom was one of two high school bands participating.

Hylton Performing Arts Center will begin a new program entitled American Roots Series, presented by F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical as part of the venue’s 2017-2018 season. The series will feature the best of bluegrass, folk, country, and blues in up-close and down-home concerts at the GregoryFamily Theater.

Rising eighth-graders in the Women’s Choir at Marsteller Middle School will be in “music camp” in August, working with Choral Teacher Julie Phelan to prepare for the high point of their careers, a 30-minute performance before an audience of thousands of music educators in November. This is the second time that Marsteller has won an invitation to bring the choir to the Virginia Music Educators Association annual conference.
