A new fire station and a new police station will be built and open by 2016 near the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Hoadly and Davis Ford roads in Prince William County, VA.

On Tuesday, November 26th, at approximately 7:00 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a multi-family residence located in the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive in Manassas.

Prince William County encompasses 348 square miles and stretches from the Potomac River to the Bull Run Mountains. Road conditions may change, vary from one end of the county to the other, or improve over time but decisions are made on a divisionwide basis for the safety of people across the county.

The community is invited to a free workshop about the Affordable Care Act on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. It will explain how the new health initiative affects individuals and families and help people enroll for health insurance.

The Greater Prince William Community Health Center now headquartered in Woodbridge was recently awarded an additional $650,000 annual grant to open a second health care center in Manassas. The Health Center’s second location is expected to open in Manassas at 9705 Liberia Ave. in March 2014.
