The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today, Nov. 7, the opening of a Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Virginia Beach City to help businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew that began on Oct. 7, 2016. SBA representatives at the Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Virginia Beach City can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application.

A man, 18, and a juvenile male, 16, have been charged in connection with two August burglaries in Woodbridge. The man was also charged with felony eluding, felony hit & run, misdemeanor hit & run, 2 counts of grand larceny, destruction of property, and driving on a revoked license in connection with two unoccupied vehicles left running.

Fall is the breeding season for deer, and consequently, deer are more active now than at any other time of the year. One-half to two-thirds of all deer/vehicle collisions occur in the months of October, November and December. While less than 2 percent of vehicle fatalities and injuries involve deer collisions in Virginia, hitting a deer can cause considerable damage to both people and property.

On Nov. 2, Prince William County police were able to identify the alleged victim involved in the possible abduction at the Wal-Mart on Worth Ave in Woodbridge which occurred on October 28.
