To assist students with disabilities and their families in planning for life after school, the Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park Transition Council will host its Annual Transition Fair. This free event will be held on Saturday, March 21, from noon–3:30 p.m. at the Edward L. Kelly Leadership Center.

Today, Feb. 3, Lieutenant Governor Northam cast his first tie-breaking vote of the 2015 Virginia General Assembly in support of SB 785. His vote broke a 19-19 tie on the measure, which prohibits state agencies from discriminating in employment on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Steven G. Liga, a professor at Rutgers University and CEO & executive director of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) of Middlesex County, Inc in New Jersey, will begin as the new Chief Executive Officer of Action in Community Through Service’s (ACTS) on March 30, according to Craig Gerhart, president of ACTS' board.
