“Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” high-visibility crackdown begins on Friday, Dec. 18th, and runs through New Year’s Day. Prince William County Police, as well as law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia and the region, are targeting this time period because the holidays bring a surge in drunk-driving.

There were 100 units in the Dec. 5 Greater Manassas Christmas Parade. Ed Asner was the Grand Marshal. Winners were announced in 13 categories ranging from floats to animal entries, bands and marching groups. Awards will be presented on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

The Manassas Lioness Lions will be conducting a ceremony at the Manassas Cemetery on Center Street, Rt 28S (next to Harley Davidson dealership). It will be on Saturday, Dec, 12 at noon and the community is invited to attend. This is part of wreath-laying ceremonies across the U.S. on Dec. 12 at noon.

The Haymarket area General Assembly delegation has sent a letter to the State Corporation Commission requesting that SCC members consider holding the public hearing on the power lines at a time when the members of the delegation are able to attend--preferably after the General Assembly adjourns.
