PW schools to be closed on Election Day, Nov. 8

In anticipation of expected high voter turnout, Prince William County Schools will not hold school on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8.

School population grows 1.9 percent - up 1667 more Prince William County students than in 2015

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) official enrollment is 88,920 students for the 2016-17 school year. Enrollment grew by 1,667 students, or 1.9 percent from the previous year. The new growth figure eclipses the 1.2 percent increase seen the previous year by more than 600 students.

PWC Human Rights Commission accepting applications for Student Leadership Council

Prince William County Human Rights Commission is looking for high school students who are interested in civics and government to serve on its Student Leadership Council. Sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in public, private and homeschools in Prince William County are eligible to apply for the leadership council now through Oct. 28.
