PWC Police searching for missing endangered woman from Gainesville

On the evening of September 2nd at approximately 7:23PM, officers responded to a residence in the 7000 block of Rogue Forest Lane in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a missing person. The investigation revealed that Ms. Tines was last seen at approximately 6:30AM on September 2nd at her residence.

Manassas City Police Dept. investigating Calypso Drive shooting

At approximately 1 p.m. Manassas City Police were called to the 10200 block of Calypso Drive for a shooting. There was an 18-year-old male victim.

Fauquier Schools’ associate superintendent to retire after 40 years in education

Dr. Sandra Mitchell, associate superintendent for instruction for Fauquier County Public Schools, has announced her intent to retire effective Jan. 1, 2017. She will leave FCPS to become a part-time educational leadership instructor and the program administrator for the leadership preparation program for the University of Virginia, Falls Church campus.
