On Tuesday, June 5, at approximately 1 p.m., Manassas City Police received a call from Prince William County Police Emergency Communications Center advising receipt of a 9-1-1 call from an unknown male stating he had a gun and was experiencing a mental health crisis near a Manassas City Public School. The phone call was disconnected before the dispatcher could obtain further information. Manassas City Public Schools immediately implemented a lockdown at all City schools.

On June 7, the Medical Examiner’s Office in Manassas confirmed the identity of the human remains located in the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road in Nokesville on June 5 as Palmer Curtis MARSH, 16, of Nokesville, said Sgt. Jonathan Perok, spokesman for Prince William County Police Department

Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a house fire in the Lake Ridge area of Woodbridge, according to a 1:12 a.m. news release on June 7 from Rebecca Barnes, OWL public information officer. Barnes said Fire and Rescue units were initially sent to the wrong address in another neighborhood. However, a second caller was able to direct crews to the correct address of 3534 Soffitt Place. Units arrived within minutes to find fire on the side of the house and through the roof, she added.
