On June 5 at approximately 3:00PM, authorities located unidentified human remains in a wooded area near the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road in Nokesville (20181), according to a 9:05 p.m. news release from Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. Perok said the area was being surveyed by detectives regarding the ongoing investigation into the missing person’s case of Nokesville teen Palmer Marsh.

On May 30, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit charged a suspect in connection to a fight resulting in a shooting which occurred in the 7400 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas on May 24. The investigation revealed that an off-duty Prince William County sheriff’s deputy, who resided on the property as a security resident, responded from his residence to the sounds of shots being fired in the parking lot area of the complex.

On the morning of May 29, a Prince William County School Resource Officer (SRO) was notified concerning some vandalism to the stadium complex at Battlefield High School. On June 4, the SRO received an anonymous tip concerning the possible identities of the suspects involved, according to the police report.

Stabbing Investigation – On May 30 at 10:44PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 22-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated.
