Suspect arrested in Sunday afternoon stabbing in Dale City

On June 10 at 3:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a stabbing that occurred at a residence located in the 13400 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193).

According to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman, the investigation revealed that the victim, a 32-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim in the upper body and then fled the area in a vehicle, Probus said. The victim, he said, went to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Following the investigation, detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Eldridge BANSON. On June 11, the accused turned himself in at the Gar-Field Station without incident.
