This Saturday, Nov. 14, Prince William Republican Women’s Club will host an appreciation event for local law enforcement. The “We Love You Blue” rally will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Woodbridge to honor Prince William County Police Department, the Dumfries Police Department, the Prince William County Sheriff’s Department, and the U.S. Marshall Service.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Nov. 12 began a new program that will cut years off the time needed to test the response of innovative pavements to the daily impacts of heavy traffic.

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Nov. 12 new exports of Virginia seafood to Canada as a result of his recent trade and tourism mission to the country.
The Congressional App Challenge began Nov. 9, 2015 and runs through Jan. 15, 2016, challenging high school students to design and create an original app for submission. The submitted app can be on any topic, provided it is original, appropriate, and has been made within a year of Jan. 16, 2016.

The formal name for the ceremony is the Presentation of the National Thanksgiving Turkey. In 1989 at the end of the ceremony, then-President George H.W.
