House of Mercy in Manassas will be hosting its fifth annual Christmas with Mercy on Saturday, Dec. 12. The event provides gifts to children who, otherwise, might not receive any this Christmas. In years past, HOM has relied partly on Toys for Tots to help provide gifts; however, this year, it is relying on the "kindness of the community."

Manassas City Police Department has arrested a suspect in a larceny case that happened six years ago, according to the police department's crime report for Dec. 2, 2015.
County Executive Melissa Peacor announced Dec. 1 her plan to retire after 30 years of service to Prince William County. Peacor's retirement will be effective January 31, 2016.
Michelle R. Robl of Bristow, who has worked in the county attorney's office for 22 years is the new County Attorney for Prince William. The Board of County Supervisors appointed her Dec. 1.

On Tuesday Nov. 23, 2015, Dr. David Huckestein, principal of Woodbridge Sr. High School, announced he is "stepping down after 13 years as a high school principal, nearly nine of which I have proudly served here at Woodbridge Senior High School."

The company will also invest $10.8 million to upgrade its data center operation in Loudoun County.
