On July 13, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a suspicious phone call. The reporting party told officers that she had received a phone call from an unknown male who claimed to represent the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

On July 12, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a suspicious phone call. The reporting party told officers that she received a phone call from an unknown male who claimed to be collecting money on behalf Manassas City Police Department, and that her donation would be retrieved in person by a uniformed officer of the Department.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on July 14, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 9400 block of Taney Rd for a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult female with lacerations to her arm.

At approximately 8 p.m. on July 14, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the area of Beech Pl and George St for a report of several shots fired from a moving vehicle. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call Manassas City Police at 703-257-8000.
