“Griffith” charged in July 11 strong-armed robbery now known as “Walker,” police report states

**UPDATES**

Strong Armed Robbery *CORRECTION – Upon further investigation on July 12, detectives with the Robbery Unit determined that the accused involved in a robbery in the 7200 block of Sudley Rd on July 11 provided a false name and identification during the course of the investigation.  The accused originally provided the false name of Anthony Deandre Griffith which was released on July 12. Additional charges are pending. The investigation continues.

Ryan Thomas WALKER, 19, of No Fixed Address
Charged with robbery

Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released on July 12] – On July 11 at 9:24PM, officers responded to the 7200 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 53 year old woman of Haymarket, reported to police that she was standing outside her vehicle getting gas when she was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man removed jewelry and a wallet from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was located a short time later in a vehicle parked in the 10600 block of Automotive Dr and detained without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On July 12 at 9:10PM, officers responded to the 13000 block of Chinn Park Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was retrieving his blue BMX style bicycle which was parked in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the bicycle. At some point, the other suspect punched the victim on the head.  The men took the bicycle before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’00” with a medium build and black hair
Last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants

Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’10” with a medium build and black hair
Last seen wearing a grey shirt and grey shorts

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On July 12 at 11:33PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2900 block of Burgundy Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 36 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim then placed his arm around her throat and strangled her. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Raju KARKI, 40, of the 2900 block of Burgundy Pl in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation¸ abduction and domestic assault & battery
