Parents whose children attend Prince William County Schools are reminded that their MyLunchMoney accounts for school meals have transitioned to MySchoolBucks.com.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, local residents and dignitaries paid tribute to school's namesake, Officer Chris Yung during a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new school.

A preliminary review of the August 17th officer involved shooting which occurred on Tory Loop in Woodbridge has been completed. In the interest of keeping our community informed of significant incidents involving our officers and our efforts to remain transparent, further details of that incident are being publically released, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, PWC Police Department spokesman.
Prince William County Schools' online access is having difficulties caused by vendor-related data problems occurring nationwide. PWCS is working with the vendor to restore full service as soon as possible, though it is unlikely before opening day, a news release on Aug. 27 said.

Armed with nearly 1,700 signatures on a petition to “Bring Trader Joe’s to Woodbridge,” demographic data and several confidential lease proposals from Woodbridge shopping centers, Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank J. Principi visited Trader Joe’s headquarters in Monrovia, Ca. last week.
On Friday, Aug. 28, lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia, representing Fairfax resident Harrison Neal, will be in Fairfax County Circuit Court arguing against the Fairfax County Police Department's (FCPD) attempt to dismiss Mr. Neal’s case challenging the unlawful collection of his personal information.
