Attorney General Mark R. Herring announced Sept. 22 that Virginia became the seventh the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Heroin Task Force (NEMA-HTF). This is a first-of-its kind task force that fosters cross-state collaboration and leverages resources to combat heroin distribution and the associated rise in heroin overdose fatalities.

Four students from Northern Virginia Community College’s Biotechnology Program recently completed George Mason University’s Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program.
