Discovery Trail to be dedicated Oct. 20

Osbourn Park students inspired by tour of White House gardens

White House history came alive for students in teacher Lydia Stewart’s class at Osbourn Park High School in early October. I-95 ramps in Fairfax to be closed for nighttime asphalt patching Oct. 18-20

Closures will occur along the ramp from northbound I-95 to Route 1 (Exit 161) and the ramp from southbound I-95 to Backlick Road (Exit 167) in Fairfax County between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly Tuesday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 20 for asphalt patching, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Construction recycling facility opens in Prince William County off I-66

NOVA RECON, a new construction recycling facility, has opened in Prince William County. It offers concrete crushing to the construction industry in the Metro DC area. Located off I-66 at 7320 Old Compton Road, the six-acre facility features top-of-the-line machinery to process, screen, and sort crushed concrete products, according to a news release.
