A total solar eclipse will cross the United States on April 8, 2024, in a path from Texas through Maine and passing through five national forests, according to Woodsy Owl of the US Forest Service. Prince William County Police said the suspect in the March 5 bank robbery had one of his hands in a bag where part of what was believed to be a firearm was observed. The suspect fled the bank on foot without taking money. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

On February 9, 2024, at 7:50 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court for a 911 hang-up. Officers arrived on the scene where a group was located and immediately attempted to flee the area.

One adult occupant was at home and safely evacuated after discovering the fire. No injuries were reported. The structure sustained moderate damage. The American Red Cross assisted the 2 adults and 3 children displaced by Building Official’s determination the townhouse was unsafe to occupy. The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was ignited by a burning candle near combustibles.
