Virginia to transition to elecronic and phone reporting of game harvesting in September

Beginning Sept. 1, 2021, all hunters (including those who are not required to purchase a license) who harvest a deer, turkey, bear, bobcat, or elk, will need to check their harvest by calling DWR (866-GOT-GAME), logging on to gooutdoorsvirginia.com, or by using the mobile app harvest reporting system, GoOutdoorsVa (free through the app store).

In-water boat show returns to Norfolk after nine-year hiatus

November 9-11, 2018, Norfolk Festevents, Ltd. will host the return of the Norfolk In-Water Boat Show, which a news release describes as "the only major in-water boat show in the Hampton Roads region." A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 7, 2021, at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, for Richard "Skip" Zilka who passed away March 22, 2021. Father Ed Guilloux officiated. Interment was private at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
