On Monday, Feb. 18 at 10:57 p.m. Prince William County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a reported fire in a third floor apartment located in 11211 Lady Jane Loop in Manassas. Sixty residents were displaced. Five people needed observation or medical treatment. Preliminary damage estimate is $500,000.

Location corrected for new elementary school to be built in Haymarket

A new elementary school in Haymarket was designed and will be constructed under US Green Building Council guidelines. The school, which is located near the intersection of Haymarket Drive and Mercury Avenue, is scheduled to open in September 2014.

Five juveniles in custody after stolen vehicle crashes into occupied house

There were four occupants inside a Woodbridge residence when a stolen vehicle crashed into the home, this morning, Feb. 19. Responding officers removed the residents from the home. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called to assist with the displaced family.
