Va. snags $3.1 million expansion by Apex Mills, specialty manufacturer of warp knit fabrics

Gov. Glenn Youngkin has announced that Apex Mills, a specialty supplier and manufacturer of warp knit fabrics with industrial and technical applications, will invest $3.1 million to expand its East Coast presence by acquiring the former HanesBrands facility and its equipment in Patrick County.

This morning, Jan. 1. 2023, at 11:44 a.m. Prince William fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the 5900 block of Yates Ford Road (Buckhall) for a reported house fire. Crews arrived to observe fire extending to and through the attic, according to Matt Smolsky, assistant fire chief.

Dec. 20 fire displaces eight from home in Sudley

Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 10300 block of Lomond Drive (Sudley) at 1:22 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 for a report of a single-family dwelling on fire. Crews arrived with fire showing and all occupants safely out of the home, according to Matt Smolsky, assistant fire chief.

With a second opinion from the Commonwealth's Attorney on his ability to vote, Candland said..."the limitations on my ability to perform as Supervisor have become severely more restrictive." "According to the opinion of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, I cannot participate in any Comprehensive Plan vote.
