Prince William County is seeking comments from community members about the proposed Indoor Sports & Events Center tonight, April 10, at the Ben Lomond Pat White Center (The Barn )just off Sudley Manor Drive at 10501 Copeland Drive, in Manassas. Meeting is 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Prescribed fire planned at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts next week

The goals of this fire are to maintain wildlife habitat and control woody and invasive species. This will be the park’s second prescribed fire following a successful burn in April 2018.

Rising temperatures, dry and windy weather, and abundant fuels such as frost-killed vegetation and dead leaves, increase the potential for wildfires and make them harder to extinguish.

Capital Improvement proposals for PWC’s 2024-25 budget to be presented tonight, Feb. 13

Prince William County’s annual budget process kicks off with the presentation of the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program to the Board of County Supervisors during its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The County Executive will then present the proposed FY2025 Budget to the Board of County Supervisors on Feb. 20. Both presentations will occur during the Board’s 7:30 p.m. meetings.

Eight people safely evacuated in early morning fire at apartment building in Occoquan

Officials from Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office are on the scene investigating the cause of an apartment building fire in Occoquan that was reported shortly after midnight today, Jan. 17. The Building Official determined the six-unit building was unsafe to occupy. The Red Cross is helping eight people find housing.
