Health districts in northern Virginia are informing people who were at various locations listed in the following news release during the specified time frames, that they may have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with measles.

The investigation revealed that swastika symbols and Stars of David, along with other graffiti, were spray painted on several areas of the skate park to include the concrete bowl and the elevated rail.

On May 12, 2022 the adult suspect sought in connection to the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Dumfries man, that occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) on May 8, was arrested.

On May 12, 2022, the juvenile suspect, 16, from Woodbridge and sought in connection with the May 8 fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Dumfries man, that occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155), was arrested, according to Prince William County Police reports.

On Thursday, April 26, 2022 at 9:57AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the Woodbridge (22193) area of Prince William County to investigate a fatal overdose. The investigation revealed the victim, a 14-year-old male juvenile, was suspected of ingesting a counterfeit Percocet and became unconscious. Life-saving efforts were attempted; the victim was transported to an area hospital where he died.

On May 10, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau identified two suspects sought in connection to the fatal shooting that occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) on May 8. One of the suspects is a juvenile.
