Prince William County Police investigating homicide in Gainesville

On September 12th at 1:50AM, officers responded to the area of Old Linton Hall Rd and Charis Ave in Gainesville (20155) for a shots fired call. Officers arrived and located two adult male victims in a nearby parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals where one victim, identified as a 23 year old man of Gainesville, died as a result of his injuries.

More work and closings on I-95 in Fredericksburg area this week, VDOT says

Several nighttime work zones will be active on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 this week in the Fredericksburg area, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). I-95 travelers are advised to use US 1 or US 301 to avoid delays. Message boards on I-95 will provide advance notice of lane closures and detour routes.
