On June 5 at approximately 3:00PM, authorities located unidentified human remains in a wooded area near the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road in Nokesville (20181), according to a 9:05 p.m. news release from Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. Perok said the area was being surveyed by detectives regarding the ongoing investigation into the missing person’s case of Nokesville teen Palmer Marsh.

Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) advises recreational boaters to use extreme caution this upcoming weekend and into next week as unstable weather systems are leading to flash flooding in many areas.

Stabbing Investigation – On May 30 at 10:44PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 22-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated.

On May 26, 2018 at 4:57PM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 16900 block of Stormy Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a crash involving an ATV.

On May 24 at 11:16PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Fields of Manassas apartment complex located in the 7400 block of Willoughby Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived in the area, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. That man was transported to an area hospital for treatment and has since been released.

On May 23 at 8:11AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Old Carolina Rd and Piedmont Vista Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a crash involving a Prince William County school bus and a 2007 Ford F-150XLT landscaping pick-up truck.
