Police found a 20-year-old Dumfries man with a gunshot wound dead in a car after a hang-up 9-1-1 call Feb. 7. Detectives are investigating.

A jacket, money, a bank card, and an identification card were reported missing in a Jan. 25 burglary at the Dumfries Econo-Lodge.

On Jan. 20, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit concluded the investigation into the robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Sheetz located 3300 Noble Pond Way in Woodbridge (22193) on Jan. 7. During the investigation, detectives determined that the vehicle used in the robbery was reported stolen from Maryland. Shortly after, detectives began coordinating Maryland law enforcement officials.

The investigation revealed that the accused and the juvenile were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused grabbed the juvenile.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2:30AM, Prince William County Police responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of Madison Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.

Prince William Health District in conjunction with Prince William County Government has expanded the COVID-19 Call Center to include information on the vaccine.

The victim, a 28-year-old woman, reported to police that while working at the above location, her manager, identified as the accused, entered the restroom while she was inside.
