On Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at 02:00 a.m. officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 7-Eleven located at 8900 block of Godwin Dr. for a report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed a suspect threatened the employee with a handgun and demanded money from the register.

On Sunday, Dec. 27 at 12:39PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 1500 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight.

On Dec. 26 at 10:53PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Walmart located at 17041 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a disorderly. The investigation revealed that a man, later identified as the accused, was refusing to leave the store after the store’s manager trespassed him.

Two Woodbridge businesses broken into; money goes missing

On Sunday, Dec. 27 at 10:50PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 10231 Carnoch Way in Bristow (20136) to investigate a robbery.

On Saturday, Dec. 26, the suspect sought in connection to the hit and run investigation that was reported to have occurred in the area of Sudley Rd. near I-66 in Manassas (20109) on Dec. 17, was arrested.

The criminal investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred on Dec. 10, 2020, on Secret Grove Court in the Dumfries area of Prince William County has been completed. This investigation was conducted by detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and was reviewed by the Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office for a determination of criminal liability concerning the officers’ actions during the incident.

United States Military Academy at West Point, NY announced the Rhodes Scholars for the Class of 2021, CDT Tyrese Bender and CDT Evan Walker. They are part of a select group of 32 scholars from the United States and will be joining recipients from more than 60 other countries. The last time West Point had more than one Rhodes Scholar was in 2014.
