Manassas police pursue robbery, arson and burglary investigations

Robbery: On Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at 02:00 a.m. officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 7-Eleven located at 8900 block of Godwin Dr. for a report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed a suspect threatened the employee with a handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing.

Arson: On Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 at 10:13 p.m. Manassas City Police officers responded to the 9800 block of Maury Ln. for a report of an arson. Upon arrival, officers were notified of a fire in a vehicle. The fire department was able to put out the fire and the Fire Marshall was notified and responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary:
On Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at 06:34 p.m. officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 9500 block of Fairview Ave. for a report of a burglary. The victim stated someone entered his/her residence, possibly through an unsecured door and stole several items to include jewelry and decorations. The investigation is ongoing.
