Manassas Lioness Lions Club and Daughters of the Confederacy added the Manassas Confederate Cemetery on Center Street to 500+ cemeteries participating in Wreaths Across America. On Saturday, December 14th at noon sharp, all of these cemeteries will be honoring our fallen heroes at the same time.

Old Bridge United Methodist Church will open its doors to the community to host Thanksgiving dinner,

Prince William County Public Schools salutes our nation’s heroes on Veterans Day, November 11. The Armistice, which halted the fighting during World War I, was signed on November 11, 1918, at 11 a.m., known as “the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.”

During a Nov. 7 altercation, near Sudley Manor Drive and Williamson Blvd, in Manassas, two unknown men attempted to take personal items from another man who broke free of the suspects, who then fled on foot, Prince William County police reported.

Books suitable for local area students in grades kindergarten through a senior in high school (K-12) can find a new home if people will drop them off at one of six sites by Dec. 15. The book collection is a community service project of Manassas Lioness Lions Club.
