On August 11, 2023 at 4:08AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate two stabbings.

On August 11, 2023 at 4:08AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate two stabbings.

At one point, gunfire was exchanged between the parties, and the victim was struck in the lower body. The suspect fled the scene following the encounter. Officers arrived on scene and provided first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

On Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:24PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 800 block of Fulton Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing.

On August 2, after Prince William County Police consulted with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, the death was ruled to be justified based on the investigation and final autopsy report from the Medical Examiner’s Office. Therefore no charges will be placed or sought.
