Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Springfield) has introduced HB 1343, legislation Dec. 1 that requires the reporting of campus sexual assaults by campus and local law enforcement to the local Commonwealth’s Attorney within 48 hours of the reported incident. If passed, this legislation could expedite an investigation of the case.

Prince William County Police have announced that detectives from the Homicide Unit have arrested Bryan Lamonte PATTERSON in connection to the November 16th murder of Christopher Nathaniel WEAVER in Dale City.

Murder Investigation *UPDATE – On November 18th, detectives from the Homicide Unit identified the shooter involved in the murder of Christopher Weaver which occurred in the 13400 block of Keating Dr in Woodbridge on November 16th.

Detectives from the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have further connected a 5th suspect, identified as a 16 year old juvenile female, to this incident, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.

Detectives from the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have determined this was not a random incident. No arrests have been made. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 6th homicide of 2014.
