On March 14 at 8:36PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the intersection of Piper Ln and Nokesville Rd (Rt. 28) in Manassas (20109) for an officer-involved crash, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. Emergency personnel transported both drivers to the hospital.

An autopsy conducted on March 6 confirmed that the injuries sustained by the pedestrian were from being struck by a vehicle. The striking vehicle was possibly a light colored, Ford pickup truck.

Rescue Engine 521, the first advanced life support capable fire apparatus in the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue system, now has a cardiac monitor, medication bag and other ALS equipment that will allow paramedics riding the apparatus to perform life-saving interventions until an ambulance can arrive on scene.

On March 3 at 12:39AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Rippon Blvd. and Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that while in a nearby parking lot the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument that escalated. During the encounter, a firearm was brandished and the victim was shot. The suspect fled the area on foot while uninvolved residents aided the victim.
