Shooting Investigation -- On March 20 at 10:13AM, officers responded to the 4000 block of Marjon Ct. in Dumfries for a shooting in progress. Officers arrived and secured the scene.

County police officer involved in vehicle crash near airport in Manassas

On March 14 at 8:36PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the intersection of Piper Ln and Nokesville Rd (Rt. 28) in Manassas (20109) for an officer-involved crash, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman. Emergency personnel transported both drivers to the hospital.

Pedestrian dies from injuries suffered in hit and run accident Feb. 21 in Dumfries

An autopsy conducted on March 6 confirmed that the injuries sustained by the pedestrian were from being struck by a vehicle. The striking vehicle was possibly a light colored, Ford pickup truck.

Manassas to boost Advanced Life Support service; first ALS-equipped fire apparatus ready March 5

Rescue Engine 521, the first advanced life support capable fire apparatus in the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue system, now has a cardiac monitor, medication bag and other ALS equipment that will allow paramedics riding the apparatus to perform life-saving interventions until an ambulance can arrive on scene.

PWC Police investigate shooting in Woodbridge early March 3; victim dies at local hospital

On March 3 at 12:39AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Rippon Blvd. and Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that while in a nearby parking lot the victim and the suspect were engaged in an argument that escalated. During the encounter, a firearm was brandished and the victim was shot. The suspect fled the area on foot while uninvolved residents aided the victim.
