On November 11 at 9:40AM, officers responded to Kay Jewelers inside Potomac Mills located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary

When officers arrived, a Prince William County Fire & Rescue technician advised that emergency medical workers were attempting to render aid to a person when they were assaulted by a male bystander, identified as the accused.

As home heating season begins, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) advises consumers to measure deliveries of firewood to ensure they receive the full value of their purchase. In Virginia, bulk deliveries of firewood for home heating are sold by the cord which is 128 cubic feet of firewood.

On November 9 at 1:59PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Blue Pool Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic with weapons.

Chief Barry M. Barnard has announced the promotion of Major Jarad L. Phelps to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and his appointment as Deputy Chief effective Nov. 9, 2019. Phelps is a native of Prince William County and has 23 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career with the Prince William County Police Department in 1996 as a patrol officer.

The Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue and the members of the Fire and Rescue System have begun collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. This year’s event will run through Dec. 14. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped at any Prince William County, City of Manassas Park or Manassas City fire station.

On November 5 at 11:44PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Robinson Ct and Harrison St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate three stabbings. The investigation revealed that a fight took place in that area involving known parties, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.
