According to Prince William County Police, the driver of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler was traveling northbound on Richmond Hwy, when the driver slowed to make a right turn onto Williamstown Dr. As the vehicle slowed, the passenger opened her door and exited from the vehicle onto the roadway while the vehicle was still in motion.

OmniRide’s Service Changes will take effect on Monday, Jan 30. Schedules for Express, Metro Express, and Local routes will change on that date. OmniRide Connect microtransit pilot program is now operating in Manassas Park. It replaces the OmniRide Local Manassas Park route. Some routes are now operating from the new Balls Ford Road Commuter Lot in Manassas.

Dr. Charlie Broaddus, State Veterinarian with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR), has issued a permit to Nicolas “Santa” Claus, of the North Pole, to bring his herd of “eight tiny reindeer” and one additional rare, red-nosed reindeer into Virginia on the evening of Dec. 24.

Crews across the district will begin pretreating roads overnight Tuesday through overnight Wednesday and will begin deploying trucks early Thursday morning to treat roads as needed.
