After PWC and Manassas City detectives shot two men during a multi-agency narcotics task force undercover operation into Fentanyl distribution in the 14700 block of Fox Glove Ct in Woodbridge on Sept. 1, 2022, the regional Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) was activated to conduct a criminal investigation into the officers' actions during the incident.

On Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 at 7:39 p.m. PW fire and rescue units were dispatched to a home in the 8000 block of Erika Drive in Coles District for a reported house fire. Crews arrived with heavy fire and smoke showing from an attached garage. The occupants were not at home when the fire was discovered by neighbors.
