• Sexual Assault Investigation *ARREST – On August 28, 2022 the suspect sought in connection to the sexual assaults that were reoccurred at several locations in the Woodbridge (22191 & 22193) areas of Prince William County between December 2009 and March 2021, was arrested. On August 28, the accused, Jose Adam PEREZ NIETO, turned himself in to police without incident.

Charged with 2 counts of rape , 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery, and 1 count of forcible sodomy

Sexual Assault Investigation [Previously Released] – On August 25, 2022 detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at several locations in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County between December 2009 and September 2020. The initial investigation revealed a female victim, who was between 6-16 years of age during the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during the above timeframe. While investigating the incidents, detectives learned between March 2019 and March 2021, the accused sexually assaulted a second female victim, who was between 13-15 years of age at the time of the offenses, at multiple locations in the Woodbridge (22193) area. The victims recently reported the incidents prompting the police investigation. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jose Adam PEREZ NIETO. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

INCIDENTS
• Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On August 27, 2022 at 10:43AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Cool Spring Dr. and Dominion Valley Dr. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 35-year-old woman, was driving on Dominion Valley Dr. when she was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a black SUV.
During the encounter, the driver of the SUV stopped in the above area and approached the victim’s vehicle while brandishing a firearm. When another vehicle drove into the area, the suspect got back into his vehicle and drove away. The victim left the area and contacted the police. No physical contact was made between the victim and the suspect and at no time were shots fired during the incident.

A white male, approximately 6’0”, heavy set, bald, and with a beard
Last seen wearing an orange shirt, black shorts, white shoes, and white socks

ARRESTS
• Felony Child Neglect – On August 29, 2022 at 5:15PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 15000 block of Alaska Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a child neglect. The investigation revealed a family member, identified as the accused, left the victim, a 5-year-old boy with inadequate care earlier that day. While the accused was gone, the boy left the home undetected. The unattended boy was located in a different neighborhood a short distance away and the police were contacted. The boy was unharmed and turned over to a family member. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ana Cecila ESCOBAR De ABARCA, was arrested.

• Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 27, 2022 at 8:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 8700 block of Rugby Rd. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a destruction of property. Upon arriving at the home, officers encountered a woman, later identified as the accused, on the porch of the residence where they attempted to detain her.

During the encounter, the accused actively resisted and kicked multiple officers before being taken into custody. The investigation revealed the accused walked onto the porch uninvited and began destroying multiple items. A resident of the home confronted the accused before contacting the police. The accused was not known to anyone at the home. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Iris Yanoris MATUTE MORENO, was charged.

Charged with3 counts of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of destruction of property, 1 count of obstruction of justice, 1 count of trespassing, and 1 count of intoxicated in public
