Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) has developed a method that can be used by the public to nominate weed species for adding to Virginia’s Noxious Weeds list, according to a news release.

Dr. Steven M. Constantino, Ed.D, a former principal of Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, has been appointed as Acting Superintendent of Public Instruction. Dr. Constantino most recently served as the Chief Academic Officer/Assistant Superintendent, Division of Instruction for the Virginia Department of Education. He is considered a national expert in the field of family engagement and is the author of four books on the subject.

On December 28 at 6:55AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Hoadly Rd near Galveston Ct in Manassas (20112) to investigate a pedestrian involved crash.

Dominion Energy Virginia announced Dec. 26 that the company is preparing to send 82 restoration workers and 56 pieces of equipment and restoration vehicles to accelerate ongoing restoration efforts on the island through the mutual aid process. Dominion personnel anticipate assisting in Puerto Rico for a minimum of a month.

National Weather Service has issued a forecast showing the potential for snow during evening rush hour, VDOT said.
