Manassas City Police Crime Report for Jan. 31, 2023: DC visitor discharges gun into eatery’s toilet

On Sunday, Jan. 28, 2023 at approximately, 10:30 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to a shots fired call from inside of the 9400 block of West Street, in the City of Manassas, VA (CJ Finz restaurant). Upon arrival police discovered that a subject entered the bathroom and a loud noise, believed to be a gun shot, was heard by patrons.

PWC Landfill and Balls Ford Road Compost Facility to be closed on Sundays starting Nov. 6

Prince William County Department of Public Works reports it will be closing the county’s Solid Waste facilities on Sundays beginning Nov. 6, 2022. Sunday is the only day of the week that commercial refuse haulers, which bring in most of the disposal tonnage, do not collect residential routes and bring the collected waste to the County Landfill and Balls Ford Road Compost Facility. Closing to the public on Sundays also will give facility employees the opportunity to address deferred work and perform required maintenance and regulatory requirements.

On Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9:48PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Sudley Rd. and Stream Walk Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian.
