Beginning Sunday night, April 28, weather permitting, a portion of the northbound and southbound I-95 general purpose lanes in Prince William County will have nighttime single- and double-lane closures until late fall.
On Sunday September 27, 2015 Antioch Baptist Church in Haymarket will celebrate its 178th anniversary. The celebration will include guest speakers and musicians in the 11 a.m. service followed by a picnic on the church grounds.

The Office of Facilities Services for Prince William County Public Schools presented information on two sites and two building designs under consideration for the School Division’s 13th high school at the first of two community meetings Sept. 14. The presentation is posted to the Facilities Services website.

Murder Investigation *ARRESTS – Between September 14th and 15th, detectives from the Homicide Unit made several arrests in connection to the murder of Claude JACKSON III which occurred in the area of Old Linton Hall Rd and Charis Ave in Gainesville on September 12th.

Virginia Grown apples are ripe and ready—for picking, for purchasing and of course, for eating. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) reports the outlook for the 2015 apple crop is excellent and says this is probably the finest crop of Golden Delicious apples Virginia has produced in years.

Margaret Mitchell McLeod Price, a teacher at Stonewall Middle School (now Unity Braxton) in Manassas for 26 years until her retirement in 1999, died Jan. 26, 2024. She was an avid traveler and had visited 49 states and numerous foreign countries.
