This week, as part of ongoing County and VDOT projects, there will be some new road closures in the Gainesville District, according to the office of Gainesville District Supervisor Pete Candland.

On March 3, detectives from the Homicide Unit announced the arrest of a fourth suspect, identified as Kevin Wilfredo VASQUEZ HENRIQUEZ, involved in the murder of Oscar Rene ANDRADE who was located deceased in a wooded area on Barrett Dr in Manassas on Jan. 13, according to Sgt. The incident began around 1:30m p.m. with report of shots fired. Children were held at school.

Stafford woman dies Feb. 29. police investigate a two vehicle crash on US 1 in Dumfries. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2012 Toyota RAV4 was traveling eastbound from the Princeton Woods Shopping Center towards Wayside Dr when, for unknown reasons, the driver drove over the median and across the eastbound lanes striking two pedestrian signals.
