Stabbing Investigation - At 9:50 p.m. Feb. 17, Prince William County Police reported that one victim, identified as an adult female, has been pronounced dead due to her injuries. The second victim, identified as an adult male, has been transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Stabbing Investigation- On February 17 at 6:22PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 7300 block of Forrester Ln in the Sudley area of Manassas (20109) to investigate a stabbing, according to Officer Steven R. Mattos Jr., police department spokesman.

At approximately 1:50 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2017, Manassas City Police responded to the Seven Eleven located at 10299 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, for a report of an armed robbery. According to the store clerks, two male subjects entered the store wearing masks, and displayed a handgun demanding money. The suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, last seen headed toward Winterset Dr.

Registration is taking place now for an eight-week session that begins March 13 at Northern Virginia Community College. Old Centreville Road in Manassas has been reduced to one lane on the bridge over Bull Run to allow for rehabilitation work behind a concrete barrier, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Bridge traffic is now alternating each way via temporary signals. Drivers should expect delays until when the project is slated for completition.

On Sunday, February 12th at 7:45 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire located at Sams Junk Yard in the 14500 block of Lee Highway in Gainesville. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a mobile home fully involved. Fire and rescue crews initiated attack and extinguished the fire. No injuries reported. A Building Official has posted the trailer unsafe. According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, preliminary damages are estimated at $25,000, a total loss. The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

On Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at 7:31 p.m., Prince William County VA fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 14300 block of Ferndale Road in Dale City. Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews encountered a detached garage that contained several vehicles and was fully involved
