Micron Corporation, PWC Public Works and PWC Parks are sharing the American Public Works Association spotlight for a watershed restoration project along Neabsco Creek. Micron put up the funds to purchase and install an in-creek trash collection system known as a Bandalong. “Marine debris and trash in our waterways have been a growing environmental issue. People are looking for solutions other than volunteer cleanups,” PWC Environmental Specialist Tim Hughes said. “It’s much safer and easier. All the trash gets collected in the Bandalong.”
