PWC asks for residents’ visions for rural area land use July 30, Sept. 24

Prince William County (PWC) says it will host two public meetings for stakeholders and residents to share their perspectives as the County seeks to implement recommendations from the Rural Preservation Study.

PWC redistricting plan approved

Prince William County's redistricting map, designed to more evenly divide voters in the county was approved by the U.S. Department of Justice. The county registrar will be sending out information on voting places and districts in the near future.

Prince William County's unemployment rate drops to 4.9 percent according to an April 2011 report. The national average is 9 percent; statewide it's 5.8 percent.

You may not even bother getting dressed or putting on makeup or shaving. Others who have to drive to work may be lucky to live close by or they have timed their departure and picked the best route to make it easier. Members of Dominion Woman’s Club dedicated its Pinwheel Garden Project at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The club is active in the community and works to find unity in diversity, according to its motto.

A funeral service and celebration of life for Suzanne M. Blais will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Supervisor Lawson reschedules town meeting to Feb. 27

Due to the school closure on Feb. 11, Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson has rescheduled the Town Hall for the Alliance to Save Carver Road to Wednesday, February 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Haymarket Elementary School.

John Harper, former member Prince William County School Board

A funeral service was held on Feb. 15 in Dumfries for John Harper Jr., former member of the Prince William County School Board. Covington-Harper Elementary School was named, in part, for Harper.
