An estimated 1,000 people turned out at the Prince William County Government Complex in Woodbridge VA the night of Sunday, Feb. 28, to pay tribute to Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon, who was shot and killed on Saturday, Feb. 27, while responding to a domestic-related shooting in Woodbridge near the county complex.
It is with profound sadness that the Prince William County Police Department announced at 10:39 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, that Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon, one of the officers involved in a domestic related shooting on Lashmere Ct, Woodbridge, has died as a result of her injuries.
Prince William County police officers were injured at the scene of a domestic related shooting which occurred in the 13000 Lashmere Ct in Woodbridge. A subject is in custody, accorrding to Sgt. Jonathan Perok in a report at 7:37 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.
Prince William County Public Schools are the first in the nation to give teen-aged students, staff members, and families free access to a mobile app that is already helping college students avoid danger on college campuses nationwide, a news release said.
