PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
All Manassas City school buses have been outfitted with a stop-arm camera system to address the growing problem of illegal and unsafe passing of school buses by impatient motorists. Prior to the issue of $250 citations, warning notices will be issued until Sept. 28.

Natural Bridge, one of the iconic and historic sites in the United States, and 1343 surrounding acres will become the 37th Virginia State Park during a public ceremony at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24.
Based on input from teachers, parents, and students, Dr. Steve Walts, superintendent of schools for Prince William County, is waiving sections of current grading regulations to focus more on quality instruction and evaluation than on the quantity of assessments. The change embraces calls to allow more time for teaching and learning.

On September 5 at 12:38AM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Albemarle Dr in Manassas to investigate a shooting.
On September 4 at 8:50AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the Global Food located at 10320 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.

Prince William County VA Police Department detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau have identified two suspects in connection with the aggravated malicious wounding of a male, 26, on Aug. 30. The victim drove himself to the hospital and then was airlifted to another hospital, the police report stated.
