The police report said the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway in Dale City before entering a ravine which caused the vehicle to roll over.
Lane closures for milling and paving will occur nightly on part of Shoppers Best Way from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 through Thursday, Aug. 25, and on portions of Featherstone Road and Blackburn Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 through Thursday, Sept. 1, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
School Division staff work hard to ensure the safety of students on buses, but their safety also depends largely on the willingness of motorists to follow laws concerning school buses.
