PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
On October 6 at 1:49AM, Prince William County police officers responded to the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in the Westgate section of Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 20-year-old man, suffering from gunshot wounds.

On October 5 at 4:09PM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 14200 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
Due to sustained high, fast water in the Potomac River, the National Park Service says, in a news release, that construction crews were not able to complete all of the work that was originally scheduled for Arlington Memorial Bridge Sept. 22-23. Completing the work will require additional temporary, total closures, the release stated.
