Governor Ralph Northam has announced that the Volvo Group will invest nearly $400 million and create 777 new jobs to expand its Volvo Trucks North America New River Valley (NRV) assembly operation in Pulaski County. A new Medicare scam involves "free" DNA swab tests as health screenings, according to an ALERT issued by the Virginia AARP. Before agreeing to have your mouth swabbed, AARP warns that genetic tests must be ordered by your doctor and must be medically necessary to be covered by Medicare. Scammers are using” free DNA tests” to steal your insurance information and sensitive medical information.

Starting Monday, July 1, the commonwealth will enforce new laws that impact the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC), its licensees and applicants for ABC licenses.
